The Executive Board decided to suspend regular business for our last meeting before the summer break and instead we held an informal BBQ. All members in good standing were invited to socialize after work at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and encouraged a turnout of about 70 members. Of course, the free hot dogs, burgers and beverages also helped  with the evening’s success, as did a friendly game or two of bocce. We thank everyone who helped throw this shindig, among them – Steve Hervan, Janet Walsh, Gregory Piccolo, Rita Rusch, Joe Cannella, Sharon Levy, Debby Verity, Michelle Barrett, Mike Riveiro and Randy Meierdierks for keeping the RSVP lists; Gene Corrigan & Robert Carlson for working the grills and Dan McWeeney for the twighlight bagpipe serenade. .
